Raid No. 16

The Air Raid Warning sounded on this occasion at 06.14 hours on the 1st November 1940 and cleared at 07.47 hours. At about 06.14 hours twelve bombs of small calibre were dropped in the Marfleet area and one person was killed. Ten persons were injured six seriously, thirty six houses were badly damaged and about a hundred slightly damaged. Slight damage was also done to Industrial property. There were a considerable amount of people homeless and these were conducted to the Chamberlain Hall Marfleet.
